6000 Workers

South Africa is a country that is experiencing a lot of issues, and they just keep piling up every single day, like the unemployment rate in the country. Unemployment has become a huge issue in the country because people lose jobs every single day and struggle to find jobs because there are not many opportunities, especially amongst the youth. Even those who went to colleges and universities have been struggling to find employment for themselves.

The government has promised that it would look into the unemployment situation and create opportunities for young people so that they could also play an active role in growing the economy and also sustain themselves in their everyday lives by being able to afford their needs and build their careers, but many people are still waiting for those employment opportunities that they were promised by the government, while the rate of unemployment is just going up every single day.

And it has become much worse now that there are people who are also losing their jobs. During the pandemic, many people lost their jobs, which resulted in an increase in unemployment. Many of those were retrenched because companies were unable to keep some of their workers due to the financial difficulties that they have been experiencing.

And it seems like South Africans will have to brace themselves for a higher unemployment rate after it was reported that 6000 workers at the South African Post Office will be retrenched. The South African Post Office has been given notice under Section 189 to retrench 6,000 of its workers
