An Elder statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has said that the campaign against the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) will both have positive and negative effects.

Tanko Yakasai made the comments when he was interviewed on Control TV.

When asked if he thinks the Muslim-Muslim ticket will work against Tinubu in 2023?

He said, “well, it is something that can work in his favour and also against his favour. This cry against Muslim-Muslim ticket is mobilising support for those who are against Tinubu from the North where the bulk of the people are professing Islamic religion.

So this campaign against Tinubu because of Muslim-Muslim ticket is becoming a positive campaign for him because they are now mobilising, the Muslim population in the North.

The Muslims born in the North and the South are now being mobilised by these campaigns whether originally they were in his favour or North. So I think there is a negative and positive aspect to the campaign.
