I Feel Pain In My Heart When People Label Fulani As Criminals – Atiku Abubakar

In continuation of his political engagement ahead of February 25th presidential election, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar met with leaders of faith in Oyo State.

The former vice president during interactive sessions with the religious leaders, expressed his dissatisfaction of the term used to describe Fulani people.

According to Atiku Abubakar, he feels pain that Fulani people are often labeled as criminals.

He said every ethnic group also has criminal.

Hear him. “We have also pledged to restore security in this country. You don’t know how it pains me in my heart when you labeled criminals as Fulanis because I am a Fulani man. Let me assure you that we intend to definitely deal with criminals in whatever part of this country they are from. But we must also remember that there is no ethnic group, there is no race or religion without criminals. We should try and identify criminals as criminal, stop saying Fulani criminals, Igbo criminals or Yoruba criminals. I believe we have the responsibility to promote unity among ourselves.”
